"Fenghuang (traditional Chinese: 鳳凰; pinyin: fčnghuáng) are mythological birds of East Asia that reign over all other birds. The males are called Feng and the females Huang. In modern times, however, such a distinction of gender is often no longer made and the Feng and Huang are blurred into a single feminine entity so that the bird can be paired with the Chinese dragon, which has male connotations."

ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATION
Illustration of original character Maeron. Maeron's mother had a very difficult labour, and just before he was born, his father fused Maeron's soul with his mother's Proximator, a phoenix. This blasphemous act had many severe implications, which will be told as part of Maeron's story sometime in the future. ^^

ABOUT THE PROCESS
Many people kindly gave me their feedback for this piece. It was hard to balance between details and focus area. Colours and composition were giving me a huge but enjoyable headache too. Thank you for all your advice~!
Hope you like! >w<
