Fan art of the beautiful :iconshanhuang: as Genkuro (a nine-tailed fox/kitsune) from Yoshitsune Senbon Zakura [link] . This painting was really challenging but fun to do. :heart:

Some notes:
- If you've read the synopsis for this Japanese play, you'll know that the little drum Genkuro has on his lap is made of his parents' skins.
- The bridge is called a taiko-bashi (Japanese drum bridge). It's usually built over still waters, but I just wanted a waterfall, so there. XD
- The little red lantern Genkuro is carrying is representative of his kitsune-bi (fox-fire).

Hope you don't mind the colours, I wanted it a bit more fantasy-like, dunno if I over-did it.... @___@
